Communications Impact

At the request of RTI International, the project’s implementing partner, the communications team designed and managed the "UNITEALAINDUSTRIA" Career Awareness Campaign. The campaign aimed to inspire Salvadoran youth to explore opportunities in the manufacturing sector, addressing misconceptions and showcasing the industry’s potential for fulfilling careers.

Key achievements include:

Over 400,000 views on social media, effectively reaching and engaging Salvadoran youth with career-focused messages.
Innovative messaging that highlighted the manufacturing sector as a pathway to economic empowerment and professional growth.
Recognition with RTI’s "Crossing Borders Award 2016" for the campaign's innovative approach and potential for cross-sectoral application.
The campaign successfully bridged the gap between education and industry, encouraging youth to pursue careers that contribute to El Salvador's economic growth and industrial development.

Area

Economic Growth

The Higher Education for Economic Growth Project, a $22 million initiative, is transforming El Salvador's higher education system by enhancing the human and institutional capacity of Salvadoran Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). By aligning educational programs and research with industry demands, the project fosters productivity and long-term economic growth, improving the country's global competitiveness.

The initiative provides technical assistance to key stakeholders in El Salvador’s education sector, enabling HEIs to deliver industry-relevant training and research. By strengthening collaboration between the private sector, academia, and government, the project supports the development of a highly skilled workforce capable of meeting the demands of a growing economy.
